Andy Gerlach, a devoted family man, has been married to Ali for 29 years and is a proud father to Chloe and Drew. His roots run deep in Randolph County, where he has lived his entire life, demonstrating his profound connection to the community.
With a longstanding commitment to community service, Andy has actively contributed as a member of the Steeleville Fire Department since 1999 and served as the Chairman of Elders at St. Mark's Church. As the Mayor of Steeleville since 2021 and the CEO of Randolph Mutual, alongside roles such as a Randolph County Start-Up Board Member and a Steeleville Town Board member for 20 years, Andy has shown unparalleled dedication to his community.
Andy Gerlach is set on enhancing Randolph County's future with strategic plans to partner with the Baldwin Power Plant and state legislature to secure the plant's operation. He aims to collaborate with local colleges to support workforce re-entry through new skills training for displaced workers and intends to work with the port district to boost operations and attract new businesses, underscoring his vision of a thriving, accessible, and well-supported community under his leadership as a dedicated commissioner.
